Council for Creative Education (CCE) Finland cordially invites you to participate and celebrate the creativity in Education.
INTRODUCTION
These are series of an internationally refereed symposium and seminars dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practices in education. We have a group of world-renowned educators and experts in the field of education who will be presenting their ideas about Creativity of Education and the education system, in general. The teachers, principals, educators, trainers, students from teacher education are encouraged to send their papers/ ideas for this symposium. We would like to create a forum for the exchange of information pertaining to the latest outstanding developments in the field of creativity and learning.
For the exchange of ideas, we invite you to see the Finnish schools, meet Finnish teachers and experts in creative education in our 4-day program. The conference will be conducted as a part of this program. CCE's 5th Symposium on Creative Education with the theme "Together... We Create" will be held from 7-11 November at Tampere, Finland.
The symposium this year is a part of 'Suomi/Finland 100' project. Finland is celebrating its Centenary of independence, so CCE is joining hands to celebrate creativity in Finnish schools. As a part of this symposium, there will be a grand exhibition of 100 creative experiments only from Finland and 100 creative experiments selected from across the globe.
The theme 'Together... We create' emphasize the importance of collaboration, cooperation and consistency which are required to create anything new and meaningful. It is expected that the researchers present their ideas about the future education and what role creativity or creative education has to play.
Why CCE Finland?
CCE is an international research organization based in Finland with an aim to invent, educate and promote creative education. We believe that every student and teacher is creative and has potential to develop the creativity in routine education. We operate in the fields of pre-primary, primary, secondary and higher education with system reforms, quality assessment, professional development, state of the art evaluation methods and teacher training. Additionally, we support innovations and collaborative learning techniques in vocational and higher education.
Who can attend?
Exhibition:
Schools, Principals, Teachers, Educators, Researchers, Govt Educational officers, City officials, etc. who wish to submit the Creative Experiment under the Finland Creative 100 Program.
Conference:
Researchers and Teachers (pre-primary, primary, secondary and higher section), principals, educators, trainers, students from teacher education are welcome to present their ideas of creativity which can be used in teaching school subjects. Any education enthusiast can participate in this symposium. We are also encouraging government representatives who can present government, educational policies and their research. If you want to understand the secret of success of the Finnish education system, this is the right platform for you! Paper or Poster Presentation is not mandatory for attending the Symposium.
Speakers
Prof. Jarmo Viteli (Keynote speaker)
Jarmo Viteli is a Finnish academic, researcher and a professor at the University of Tampere and the director of Hypermedia Lab. His main interest areas are learning, eLearning, social media, modern working and learning cultures.
Viteli was the leader of the “eTampere program” in 2001-2005. He was one of the first academics to combine social media with the research and education in Finland. He has a large national and international network which is essential for building joint research projects. He has worked with Unesco in Namibia to improve the local information society. Now he serves as the evaluator at the European Union's funding projects. Viteli is one of the specialists from 'Information Society Council' in Finland. He also manages two national conferences 'MindTrek' and 'Interactive Technology in Education'.
On 5th International Symposium on Creative Education 2017, CCE is honored to have such a respected academician as Key Note Speaker. Team CCE, Finland looking forward Prof. Jarmo Vitelli leading the 5th Symposium & guide our participants to take themselves one step ahead as a modern edge educator.
Jukka Gustafsson
Ex-Minister of Education, Govt of Finland (June 2011 - May 2013)
Gustafsson is currently a member of the Grand Committee and the Education and Culture Committee of the Parliament. In addition, he has been a member of the City Council of Tampere since 1976 and he has been instrumental in designing policies for the city of Tampere.
Born in Turku, Jukka owned the degree of Master of Social Science in 1976. He served as principal of the Murikka Institute for ten years before being elected to the Parliament in 1987.
Gustafsson chaired the Employment and Equality Committee in the Parliament from 2003 to 2007. Outside of politics, he served as vice president of the Football Association of Finland till 2006. In June 2011, he was appointed as Minister of Education to Jyrki Katainen's cabinet.
Kari Louhivuori
Veteran teacher and ex-Principal of Kirkkojarvi School, Espoo who have been instrumental in developing Finnish learning experiences since the 1970s.

Call For Papers
The participants are requested to send their abstract (300 words) on any of the above themes or a topic related to creativity. The covering page should include participant's name, title, email ID, phone number and name of the institute (if applicable). The abstract should reach us on or before 15th August 2017 on our email info@ccefinland.org. The abstract should be sent in pdf form. The author of the accepted paper will be notified by 30th August 2017. keep visiting our web pages!
Poster Presentations
Guidelines for Poster Presentation: Format: 300-word Abstract, Introduction, Method & Materials, Results, Tables & Figures, and Conclusions. Full Poster Size: 3’ x 4’ Border: 1/2 inch Poster Text size: Title - 80 PT., subtitle – 72 PT. With author name(s), designation, department(s), Body text – 22-25 PT. Any clearly readable font can be used.
